Deb, from A Piece of the Purest Challenge, has a great entry on the abilities of canines to see at night. I always wondered how they could jump up on the bed in the middle of the night in pitch darkness... Now we know!

I knew they had great night vison as none of them ever walked in to the gate I put up at night to keep them from heading to the bottom floor. And its quite dark in that hall. Thats where Libby will pee if she's unable to wake anyone.
